Overview
Highway speed, then straight off-road.
An all terrain crane rides on a multi-axle highway-legal chassis with its own dedicated driving cab up front, plus a separate crane cab and upper structure. That means it also can be driven between job sites on public roads at up to 55 mph, then the same chassis carries it across an unimproved job site, no trailer required for either leg.
Every Link-Belt® AT model in this line runs a Cummins engine rated at 548 hp and the Link-Belt Pulse 2.0 operating system, so the choice between models comes down to capacity, boom length, and reach.

What is an all terrain crane?
A crane built on a multi-axle highway-legal chassis with a dedicated driving cab, so it can travel between jobsites at highway speed on public roads and then move around an unimproved jobsite off-road on the same chassis. It combines the road speed of a truck crane with the off-road mobility of a rough terrain crane.
What is the difference between all terrain and rough terrain cranes?
An all terrain crane rides on a multi-axle chassis with a separate driving cab and can travel on public roads at highway speed, then also handle off-road jobsite travel. A rough terrain crane has a single cab for both driving and lifting, is built for off-road mobility only, and typically needs a trailer to relocate.
What size all terrain crane do I need?
It depends on your maximum load, radius, and required reach. Link-Belt’s current All Terrain line runs from the 175|AT (175 US tons) up to the 300|AT (300 US tons), all sharing the same 548 hp Cummins engine rating and Pulse 2.0 operating system. HOLT can help match a load chart to the right model.
