The 138 HSL is the smallest and most maneuverable model in Link-Belt’s current US and Canada lattice crawler lineup: an 80-ton crane that runs either a 40 to 200 ft tube boom or a 40 to 150 ft angle boom on the same carrier. With the 30 to 60 ft fixed jib, the tube boom configuration reaches a 242 ft tip height. A three-piece counterweight system lowers itself to the ground using the crane’s own gantry.
A Cummins QSB6.7 (270 hp, Tier 4 Final) drives the crane, and swing speed tops out at 4.7 rpm, the fastest in the current lattice crawler family. Travel runs at two selectable speeds, 1.1 mph in high and 0.7 mph in low, both at 30 percent gradeability.
