Overview

200 tons on a proven platform.

The 248 HSL is Link-Belt’s established 200-ton lattice crawler, built around a 55 to 285 ft tube boom that reaches a 348.4 ft tip height with the 30 to 100 ft fixed jib. An 11-piece counterweight system totals 137,840 lb of upper counterweight, self-lowered to the ground on the crane’s own removal cylinders.

The 248 HSL runs alongside the newer 248|V in Link-Belt’s current lineup rather than being replaced by it. Both are 200-ton machines; the 248|V adds a touchscreen limiter and luffing jib option, while the 248 HSL remains a proven fixed-jib platform with the same 200-ton base rating. A Cummins QSB6.7 (270 hp) drives independent hydraulic boom hoist, swing, and travel.
