The 348 Series 2 is the largest and heaviest crane in Link-Belt’s current US and Canada lattice crawler lineup at 300 US tons. It runs two boom options on the same carrier: a 70 to 300 ft Heavy Duty boom for higher-capacity work, or an 85 to 355 ft Long Range boom for extra reach. Stack the luffing boom, luffing jib, and fixed jib together and the 348 Series 2 reaches a 450 ft maximum tip height, the tallest configuration in the family.
A 13-piece upper counterweight plus 4-piece carbody counterweight totals roughly 303,000 lb, self-lowered on removal cylinders. A Cummins QSL9 (320 hp) drives the crane at a governed 0.75 mph travel speed, the slowest and most deliberate in the line, appropriate for a machine working at this scale.
